Last month Little Wrens Nest took a trip to the heart of Paris for Maison&Objet 2025 – one of the world’s leading design and lifestyle fairs. The showcase was full of imagination, creativity, and craftsmanship from some of the biggest names in design from all over the world, with an incredible selection of children’s toys and play from Danish, French & Korean brands. 

It was a true wonderland in particular for anyone who loves Maileg, and we got the chance to explore their upcoming Autumn/Winter collection, which is nothing short of magical, from their Christmas range to the best-selling toys they’ve brought back for this season - it’s full of beautiful craftsmanship and charm that we know you’ll love! 

Here are a few standouts we saw in Paris:

The New Maileg Christmas Collection

Is it too early for Christmas?! Maileg have already gotten us into the spirit with their festive section at the fair, with a huge range of new and returning pieces on display – and this year they’ve really branched out into some styles that both kids and adults alike will enjoy. As usual there was a selection of Mice adorned in Christmas clothing, like the Maxi Boy & Girl Mouse, but there were also some lovely new ballet dancer goodies, and beautifully designed new Christmas gift wrapping paper – perfect for wrapping up those special Maileg prezzies.

The Return of the Plush Kittens & New Plush Animals

The much-loved Maileg plush kittens are making a comeback! These soft, cuddly friends are perfect for snuggling and imaginative play. And speaking of plush toys, Maileg’s big elephant has been reimagined in an even softer, cosier fabric - looking (and feeling!) more huggable than ever!

Winter Bunnies & Baby Bunnies

We were delighted to spot the Maileg winter bunnies and adorable baby bunnies, along with their beautifully designed micro cot bed. Dressed in cosy wintry tones – with the winter bunnies and rabbits even wearing little bobble hats – these sweet characters are ready for cosy nights and Christmas stories.

Brother & Sister Mouse Matchboxes

A fresh new twist on the iconic Maileg matchbox mice! The Brother and Sister Mice now come in brand new designs, complete with charming outfits and cosy beds tucked into their little matchboxes.

The Stunning New Suitcasa

One of our favourite finds was the Maileg Suitcasa - this small, portable house is just the right size for Little Brother and Little Sister mice (sold separately) and comes with two sets of soft bedding to keep them cosy. Compact enough to carry around the house, the attention to detail on this charming playhouse is incredible, and is sure to be one of their must-have gifts.

Grandad Mouse Returns

The ever-charming Grandad Mouse is back, now sporting a new wardrobe full of character and style. With his nifty moustache and tweed jacket, he’s a wonderful addition to the Mouse family!

Ballet Mice in Dance Studio

The beloved Maileg Ballet Studio is back! This enchanting fold-out paper box doubles as a charming dance studio and snug mouse house. One side features cosy beds for sleepy mice, while the other holds a full dance studio – a dream come true for every little ballerina mouse. Inside, you’ll find two beautifully dressed mice ready for hours of dancing. Open the magical box to discover a world of dance, stardust, and storytelling.

Final Thoughts

Maison&Objet was a wonderful reminder of what makes Maileg so special – timeless storytelling, Danish craftsmanship, and the magic of childhood imagination. We’re excited to bring these beautiful new pieces to Little Wrens Nest throughout the rest of the year!
