Every Summer Brings a New Adventure
Big Brother and Sister Hiker Mouse are best friends. Ever since they were little, they both had a love for traveling and exploring nature. Brother grew up fishing by the river and climbing trees, and sister enjoyed catching lightning bugs, collecting plants and picking flowers. When the pair met, they instantly connected on their shared love for the outdoors and began traveling the world together. The duo made a pact to go on a camping trip together every summer - which became their favourite adventure over the years.
When summer is near, the Maileg hikers let fate decide where they will travel by randomly picking a location from their travel jar. They added many potential destinations to the jar like luscious rainforests, earthy beaches and snow-capped mountains. Brother and sister squeal with joy when the jar reveals the summer trip will be happy horse forest!
Camping Prep
The Maileg hikers invested in a brand-new tent this summer that has a flap to shade them from the sun and keep them dry from the rain.
They each have a cosy sleeping bag that they carry on their backs and a lantern for after-dark exploring. Brother makes sure to pack their favourite bonfire snacks like marshmallows, sausage, and croissants. There are two more camping essentials they must not forget: Thermos and cups and rubber boat.
The prep for the trip is finished and the hikers can barely contain their excitement for their summer trip!
A Trip to Happy Horse Forest
Brother and Sister find a perfect spot in the forest to set up camp. The site is between a luscious patch of trees and a flowery meadow where they can star gaze at night. They pitch their tent and set the stakes firmly in the ground.
The sun is starting to set and the weather is beginning to cool down. The hikers find some wood near camp to start a fire. The Maileg hikers pull out their camping food to roast sausages and marshmallows. As they start to wind down for the night, an unexpected visitor approaches the campsite…
Surprised but excited to see a fellow hiker in the forest, the Maileg hikers greet hiker guide with open arms. They invite him to sit down and enjoy the warm bonfire with them. Guide shares that he's visited Happy Horse Forest for many years and that it's his favourite camping destination.
He offers to show the hikers his favourite sights and the hikers eagerly agree. They all go to sleep excited to see what next day's adventure will bring.
Exciting Excursions with Hiker Guide
Guide first leads them through the flourishing bambino trail. There are so many unique plants and flowers that reside on the trail, so they make sure to walk slow so they don't miss a thing!
Brother notices a pink patch of Venus flytraps, and a beautiful butterfly lands right on sister's nose. Guide brought his trusty magnifying glass so they could get an up-close look at the small insects they pass. Sister makes sure to snap some photos to add to their summer scrapbook.
The day was already perfect, and they couldn't imagine it getting any better!
They decide it's the perfect spot to take a break and rest their feet.
They pull out their cheese sandwiches and listen to the relaxing sounds of the water.
Once they finish up, Guide helps the hikers cross the stream. He's crossed the stream countless times, so he knows the best path across the rocks. The trio all make it across successfully. The adventure continues as they cover more forest ground and have an unforgettable trip.
